Testimonials

"I would like every employee at St. Anne's Mead to know just how much of a difference  their friendliness, caring and compassion makes in the lives of the people who live there.  They should be proud of the work they do  and the place they work."

Kathy H, daughter of resident Bertha D.

"I have three relatives who have been residents at St. Anne's Mead.  Two, who are still living at the Mead. The Mead has a charming and intimate feeling which is warmly homelike.  My relatives receive excellent care on both the assisted living and nursing wings of the facility. The staff members are very professional.  They offer assistance with the physical needs, while also having a sensitivity to the emotional needs of the residents.  The staff enables the residents to feel safe and secure at a time in their lives when they are experiencing many losses,(home, health, friends,etc.).  My mother has grown very attached to many workers at the Mead.  The staff promotes friendliness and an active lifestyle for the residents.  Hooray and thank you to all the staff for making  my mother's and my aunt's days more bearable, fun and filled with activities.  My mother would not have this busy life anywhere else.  She and I both developed friendships with many of the staffers at the Mead.  I deeply appreciate your hard work and all your effort to make my relatives older years comfortable and pleasant.  Thank you again!"

Kathleen P, daughter of resident Katherine W. & niece of resident Ruby W. & daughter-in-law of resident Marian B.

"Over the past few years, I have had four experiences with various care facilities.  St. Anne's bas been without doubt the most positive, caring and loving experience I have had.  It can be difficult to have a feeling of family when so many individual staff and residents are involved, yet that is the feeling at St. Anne's.  The staff is very capable and extremely caring, meeting each individual's need with love.  Because of care conferences, family support groups, telephone calls from staff, church services, special parties and activities this family circle has extended to include me.  As my Dad frequently says and I truly agree - "this is a very good place to be!"

Rae V, daughter of resident Raymond M.

How To Navigate Our Journal

Our Journal is made up of date-stamped "posts" (individual entries) that are arranged in date-order with the most recent post on top descending to the oldest post on the bottom.

The main Journal page shows the 10 most recent posts. The Category pages show the 10 most recent posts for the selected Category. The "Recent Posts" list in the right-side panel displays a linked-list of the last 15 posts. To go back further in time, use the linked Archive list, organized by month (e.g., "January 2006").

The main Journal page is a great point of reference and can always be returned to by clicking on the "Journal" link located in the left-side navigation panel or at the bottom of every page. When visible, you can also click on the linked-phrase, "RETURN TO MAIN JOURNAL PAGE," at the top of the right-side panel. Each of these methods will return you to the main Journal page.

Posts are organized/archived in 3 different ways: (1) According to their Category (click on, for example, "News," in the right-side panel to reach the last 10 News' posts); (2) By Month (click on, for example, "January 2006," in the right panel to reach all the January, 2006, posts); and (3) Individually (click on the word, "Permalink," at the bottom of each post, or click on a post title under the headings, "Recent Posts" or "FYI," in the right-side panel to reach the permanent, individual page for that post.

Go ahead, navigate around, you'll get the hang of it in no time!
